The Africa Bio Ventures (ABV) is a collaborative platform dedicated to advancing biotechnology innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in Ghana and across Africa. ABV connects scientists, industry leaders, investors, and policy-makers from Africa and the global biotech ecosystem to foster partnerships, share knowledge, and catalyze solutions for health, agriculture, and environmental challenges. Through networking events, training programs, and collaborative projects, ABV empowers African bioscientists and innovators to shape the continent’s bioeconomy and strengthen its role in the global life sciences sector.
Our mission is to build and strengthen biotechnology capacity throughout the continent by fostering partnerships with biotech hubs, philanthropists, investors and biotechnology firms. Through these collaborations, the Network supports professional exchange programs, offers consulting services, and provides Contract Research Organization (CRO) solutions.
Why Now?
Africa’s biotechnology sector is on the rise. But sustainable growth depends on global partnerships, resource mobilization, and platforms that unite diverse voices. ABI is designed to fill this gap, catalyzing ideas and accelerating innovation that will impact the continent and beyond.
